Vibal Group Inc. once again took part in the Philippine Book Festival 2026, held from March 12 to 15 at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall. The event, organized as a celebration of Filipino books, culture, and learning, brought together publishers, authors, educators, and readers in a vibrant four-day gathering.

At the festival, Vibal presented a curated selection of its publications, highlighting works on Philippine history, culture, and education, alongside its supplementary learning resources. Visitors explored a wide range of titles—from children’s books to academic materials—reflecting the company’s longstanding commitment to accessible and relevant learning for Filipinos.

A key highlight of Vibal’s participation was its series of author-centered activities. The company hosted scheduled book signings and author meet-and-greet events during the festival, providing a platform for beloved titles and giving readers the opportunity to engage directly with authors and editors. These sessions underscored Vibal’s continued role in fostering dialogue, creativity, and intellectual exchange within the local publishing industry.

The special book signing events at the Vibal booth featured a line-up of several notable personalities, including creative designer Ige Ramos and celebrated food writer Micky Fenix-Macabenta—editor of the award-winning book Gastronomic Expressions of Our City Iloilo: Nature, Culture, and Geography. Also present was Jhoanna Lynn Cruz, Mindanawon scholar and editor of More Mindanawon Than We Admit: History, Culture, and Identity in the Philippine South. Award-winning author Jose Dalisay also visited for the book signing session of Windows on Writing: A Practical Guide to Writing Across Genres. Dr. Karen Sacdalan, author of the inspiring Strength in the Spectrum: A Life Journey of Resilience in Autism Parenting also held a meet and greet, where she signed copies of her book. Meanwhile, signed copies of Business 101: What Worked For Me By Joel Cruz were available for sale at the fair.

Additionally, a book launch for Mama Ranger Diaries: Chronicles from Tubbataha Reefs was presented by the UNESCO Philippine National Commission and the Tubbataha Management Office, with support from Vibal Foundation. The launch was highlighted by a special appearance from the author, Angelique Morato-Songco, who was the recipient of the International Women of Courage award in 2025 from the US Department of State.

Beyond book displays and launches, Vibal’s presence emphasized interactive engagement—inviting educators, students, and book enthusiasts to rediscover the value of Filipino-authored content. The booth became a hub for meaningful conversations about education, heritage, and the evolving role of publishing in the digital age.

Vibal’s participation in the Philippine Book Festival reflects not only its rich legacy but also its ongoing commitment to promoting literacy, knowledge, and Filipino identity through books.
