The series integrates the previously separate subject areas Physical Education and Health as prescribed by the Department of Education.

  • Physical education focuses on developing physical fitness and motor skills.
  • Health education covers such topics as nutrition, disease prevention, mental health, and personal safety.

Power Up! Active Bodies, Healthy Lives series helps students to:

  • develop practical skills for physical exercise and sports;
  • make healthy choices in their daily lives;
  • participate in activities that promote healthier communities overall; and

thrive in a fun, active, engaging, and healthful environment.
